Until recently Hans Lodder thought that dislocating technology was something used in wars. But Gartner uses the term for IT technology that enables a completely different and better approach for business processes. If you combine the Gartner technology examples with the MacKinsey business trends for 2008 then it really takes off!

Ten new CBC News jobs in Calgary were posted this morning. These, presumably, are part of the people given back to Alberta after CBC moved — er, “reconfigured” — CBC Newsworld programming from Calgary to Toronto: 4 reporter/editors Video-journalist 4 videgraphers Switcher-Director In what I’m sure is just a coincidence, only two positions are posted for Toronto this morning: Specialist in “Contract Management” Specialist in Automation

McALLEN - The Rio Grande Valley showed signs of bucking national economic trends in March as its unemployment rate for March dropped.Cameron County's rate dropped to 5.8 percent unemployment for March, down from 5.9 percent in February.

This is an editorial exploration into the birth of the theory and practice of differentiated instuction. I opine that what is claimed to be addressed by this allegedly "new" thinking and pedagogical approach, is neither adequately addressed in most cases, nor new. What would be new is a long-term commitment to it, unswayed by trend, fed by data.

I find this post very disturbing to write and a sad reflection on our current economic situation here in the US, as well as an unfortunate look at the trend in book publishing to find the cheapest and “good enough” printing press for the production of Fine Art Books. There’s definitely the possibility of going to other consoles.” - Amir Rahimi, senior producer on Boom Blox BOOM BLOX is one of the few titles on the Wii that I feel would lose a lot if it were played with a traditional controller. I guess if the game doesn’t do well on the Wii, EA has to try and make money elsewhere. Please…Wii owners…don’t let this happen. Trust me, this game is DEFINITELY worth your hard-earned cash. Link
